Of course he would’ve been involved in the state affairs and elections. I can bet, if he forms his own wing of Muslim League, all the existing Muslim Leagues will dissolve into his because no matter how big they get, they know they won’t be able to participate in an election against M.A. Jinnah.
And it’s not because Jinnah is Quaid-e-Azam but because the current lot is so incompetent that they can’t win inside their own house in a fair election. Even the pre-separation adversaries of Quaid were no match for his skills. And our current leaders will be tossed out of the picture within seconds against the likes of Gandhi, Nehru and the others.
Instant telephonic speech from Altaf bhai will see MQM becoming an ally of the Quaid. Not seize to exist though. They would want to become a part of the central government rather than give way to the great Quaid who will probably be residing in Karachi as well.
Same will be the reason behind every other leader.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would join Jinnah on the condition that he will allow them to change the name of their province whenever they want and as many times as they want. Because in reality, arguing over the name of their province is far more important than what’s going on in it.
Imran Khan will be very loyal to Jinnah and we will see him emerge as a subordinate to Quaid because he is somewhat a feudalistic.
Also we should stop hearing from Zaid Hamid as Jinnah himself is here. If that’s not enough for him, let me toss in the reincarnation of Allama Iqbal as well.
PML-Q leaders will be worth watching. They will be dumbfounded and grief-stricken every time they are seen. After all, they are the ones who call themselves Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-e-Azam). And of course the odd one out: Asif Ali Zardari will try to contain his seat somehow. Overwhelmed by the illusion of power, he will take desperate measures to keep Jinnah from gaining power.
Jinnah’s reform
The moment Jinnah finds out about the full extent of corruption and mismanagement in Pakistan, he will probably kill himself because it is not even on the same planet as what Jinnah had in mind for Pakistan. He might also take a slightly better approach and condemn that he has anything to do with this country. Although I can’t claim that he did not know what he’s getting the Muslims of subcontinent into.
As all the major parties will have no agenda whatsoever plus their incompetence to make a stand against any actual intellect (not Imran Khan), they will be forced to surrender to the might that is Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Considering the cunningness of the super powers of today, Jinnah might not be prepared for it but I’m sure he will still do just fine knowing that his pockets now have the nuclear technology with the Khotay Sikkay he had before partition.
Personally, I would prefer that Jinnah resumes his post as the Governor General of Pakistan because that will make in the all-in-all of Pakistan. Another intellectual (Zulfi Bhutto) and a noble activist (Imran Khan) would complete the Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-three-fingered-punch.
Climax
All of this fairy tale has all the potential in the world to end in disaster. Pakistani Al-Qaeda will find the modern and relatively “Un-Islamic” trio too much to be the rulers of Pakistan and there will be suicide bombing attempts on them.
Something tells me that none of the aforementioned three will choose to tag a whole brigade of security with them as they all are very social and they just love crowds. How many times have you seen Jinnah standing with tens of dirty common men for a picture? Bhutto’s simple Shalwar Kameez and knocking away microphones is something that we’ve all been told about by our parents. Imran Khan has always been very close to the people.
Alternate Ending:
With all that said, the most probable actions that Jinnah will take after looking at the circumstances we’ve created in Pakistan, he will probably goto India and apologize to them and give Pakistan back to them.
