The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is not so Islamic and neither so republic. Is it even Pakistan? A man made this country because all the coins in his pocket were useless? Did a man make this country or was it a reward from our British rulers to the landlords who served them for years? Did a man just showed us how opportunist he was by taking all the credit for something hundreds of thousands of people shed their blood for? Do you recall any of the names that weren’t your relatives and were killed while migrating to the free land?

Some of you probably know of this already but those of you who don’t, Cyanide & Happiness is a daily comic hosted on Explosm.net by four genius authors (Kris, Rob, Matt and Dave). The comic is of a dark, anti-humor kind of genre but it is indeed excellent.

You will probably not agree with what I’m going to say here but that’s just how I see it.
Gumby – a phenomenal drummer of our generation undoubtedly. Probably not one of the best in the world but definitely one of the best in Pakistan. But is over-hyped? I think yes.
I love how he can strum and play high-energy or fast/medium-fast beats but he just can’t do it as well when it comes to the slower beats. His rhythm is fine but there is just something that he lacks. He just can’t complement the rest of the music. I haven’t noticed that when he played for Noori back in the days or in the first two Coke Studio seasons but I have noticed it time and time again in Season 3.

20th May, 2010 was unofficially announced as the ‘Draw Muhammad Day’ on Facebook. As it gained popularity, obviously, all of the Muslim community objected to it in two ways.
One group very strongly and publicly condemned the event by making regular wall posts and creating/joining/liking pages and groups against it. The other group chose a more civil way of dealing with the matter by joining and conversing with the admins and the rest. As the first group unintentionally promoted the event page, it gained fantastic popularity and the number of people protesting against it and joining it to stop them increased proportionally.
